Facebook (Meta) Introduced “Music Revenue Sharing”

Some creators will be happy to hear the announcement that Meta has made. The business will begin enabling Facebook video producers that use authorized music to earn some extra money.

The "Music Revenue Sharing" scheme intends to give video producers and the musicians who make the music the chance to "receive a share of Meta in-stream ad revenue."

No other platform provides producers with this kind of revenue model at this degree, according to Meta, who claimed that this feature is the first of its kind in the music industry.

​In the past, Facebook creators could utilize licensed music, but they didn't get paid for it. The action is the most recent in the social media giant's barrage of "battle competitor TikTok" initiatives.

Content must satisfy Facebook’s monetization policies, Community Standards and music guidelines.

​The video must be at least 60 seconds long and there must be a visual component in the video as well; the licensed music itself cannot be its primary purpose.
