Millions of WordPress websites can now accept Dogecoin thanks to the WooCommerce plugin "Easy Dogecoin Gateway" designed by Dogecoin developer "inevitable360," according to DogeDesigner, a UX/UI specialist and graphic designer at Dogecoin Foundation.
The plugin enables WordPress websites to accept Dogecoin payments without the use of third-party payment processors, banks, or additional fees by simply using Dogecoin addresses. The Google API is also used to produce QR codes, while the CoinGecko API is used to convert fiat currency into Dogecoin's current price.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has remarked that Dogecoin's utility would increase if more firms embraced it. Tipping as a use case was also praised by the billionaire, who said that tipping creators with Dogecoin would be "wonderful."
Musk thinks that a bridge between Ethereum and Bitcoin is unneeded, despite prospective use cases in the Web3 industry.
However, Dogecoin developer Shibetoshi Nakamoto argues that the easiest and best use case for Dogecoin is tipping.
